Do you still wipe your phone with a napkin? Be careful of ruining the phone screen! Many people don’t take it seriously

Studies on the Internet have shown that among the daily contact items, mobile phone screens are relatively dirty.

We use the mobile phone for a long time every day, how do we clean it properly?

Have you ever tried to erase the stains on the screen, but it made the screen more and more dirty? Here is a summary of common mobile phone cleaning misunderstandings, and see how many have you won?

Misunderstanding 1: Napkins

Can’t napkins be used to clean mobile phone screens? You read that right! Generally, the napkins we use to wipe our mouths when eating out are actually very unsuitable for cleaning mobile phone screens. The napkin looks soft, but its surface is actually quite rough, which can easily leave scratches on the phone screen.

There are similar situations with glasses and camera lenses. When we match our glasses, the optician will suggest that we use glasses cloth to clean; the camera lens should use professional lens cloth. Ordinary paper towels are not suitable for cleaning light-transmitting objects such as screens and lenses.

Although the hardness of mobile phone screen glass is getting higher and higher, it is difficult to avoid small daily scratches. We recommend using glasses cloth or special screen cleaning paper to wipe.

Misunderstanding 2: Medical alcohol

Since the screens of many new mobile phones have an oleophobic coating, the use of medical alcohol will accelerate the consumption of this coating, making the screen of the mobile phone easier to scratch. The general medical alcohol concentration is 70%-80%, which is obviously too high for the screen. Professional screen cleaning alcohol will indicate the alcohol concentration, and some mobile phone brands will also remind users to use cleaners with specified alcohol concentration.

Misunderstanding 3: Hair dryer

Openings such as mobile phone data ports, earpieces, and microphones can easily accumulate dust. Many friends will choose to use a hair dryer to blow away the dust, but this is also a wrong method. Because the hair dryer generates wind pressure, and the microphones, speakers and other components are actually very fragile, strong wind pressure can easily cause damage to such sound-producing parts. For the same reason, do not use your mouth to blow the phone hard. Apple has issued a special warning not to use compressed air to clean the phone.

The best way to deal with the dust at this interface is to use a lens brush for cleaning the lens of a SLR camera. Its silky plush can penetrate deep into the socket, and the attached static electricity can effectively suck dust away.

If you have a three-proof mobile phone with IP67 security standard or higher, it has a certain protective effect on water and can be cleaned with water, but you must pay attention to three points:

Do not rinse under the tap directly.

The same applies to the wind pressure mentioned earlier. Water pressure can also easily cause damage to components such as microphones and speakers. The best aspect is to wash with a basin filled with water. Be careful not to use a deep bucket, the water pressure at the bottom is also very large.

Do not use alkaline detergents such as soap and detergent.

Soap and detergent contain a lot of alkali, which can easily cause abrasion to the coating of the mobile phone screen. Generally speaking, using a microfiber cloth in the basin to wipe the phone is sufficient for cleaning purposes, and no detergent is required.

Be sure to wipe clean after cleaning.

After the washing is completed, the phone’s earpiece, speaker and other locations are prone to accumulation of water. You can lightly shake the phone to release the remaining water, and then wipe the phone with a microfiber cloth (such as glasses cloth). Although the rugged mobile phone has a waterproof coating on the interface, long-term residual water can easily cause corrosion to it, so it must be cleaned in time.

Even if you have a rugged phone, it doesn’t mean you can be willful in the water at will. Like the sea, there are a lot of alkaline substances such as salt, and swimming pools also have a lot of disinfecting substances, which are substances that damage the coating of mobile phone screens. In addition, do not use the mobile phone more than 1 meter deep in the water, otherwise the water pressure will exert a strong pressure on the mobile phone, and even destroy the three-proof components of the mobile phone, so that the mobile phone will be directly scrapped.

Remember, the rugged phone is more to prevent accidents such as falling into the water, rather than letting you deliberately hold the phone to swim.

How many of the above misunderstandings about cell phone cleaning have you hit? It is not too late to correct the wrong method in time. In the future, remember to clean the phone regularly and scientifically to extend the service life of the phone.
