A small valley called Hesdalen in the northern part of the Norwegian town of Roros has been harassed by some weird light clusters. What are these weird light clusters? Is it the legendary UFO? Scientists have carried out various explorations, and the more they explore, the more weird they feel: they are even more incredible than UFOs!
Hesdalen phenomenon
The Hesdalen Valley is 15 kilometers long and runs north-south. There are mountains in the east and west, and the elevation is about 1,000 meters. Only 140 people live in this valley, most of whom live close to the road. Since December 1981, residents have found that all kinds of strange lights continue to appear in this small valley, as many as 20 times a week.
Sometimes they will see small clusters of blue and white intensely flickering light appearing anywhere in the sky, moving very randomly in the sky, without a fixed trajectory.
Sometimes they will see different shapes of yellow or white light, some are spherical, some are ellipsoidal, some are cigar-shaped, and there are other shapes. These lights often appear on the roof or close to the ground, and sometimes appear high in the sky. They can exist steadily for more than two hours, usually moving slowly along the valley, and sometimes moving toward the wind at extremely fast speeds, usually in the north-south direction.
Sometimes they saw a lot of light grouping together to form a cluster of light, usually a cluster of red light in front of it, followed by two clusters of white or yellow light. The lights participating in the combination still maintain a fixed distance between each other. These clusters of light tend to move slowly along the top of the mountain, and the direction of movement is also the north-south direction.
There are also many strange lights with unpredictable shapes and colors. These strange light phenomena are called Hesdalen phenomena. It wasn’t until the end of 1984 that the frequency of those strange lights began to decrease, but it can still be observed as many as 20 times a year. What is puzzling is what is going on with these strange lights?
Hesdalen phenomenon around the world
The strange light phenomenon does not seem to be confined to the Hesdalen Valley. Many similar strange light phenomena have appeared all over the world.
As early as 1900, two mountains in Mesopotamia, Asia played “tennis”, and a ball of light went back and forth between the two mountains for a long time. It looked like two mountains were fighting again. The weapon was a ball of light. A fireball started from one mountain and flew towards the other mountain. This process was accompanied by thunder. This kind of battle will take place during the day and night, but it usually occurs on a clear day, and never occurs when it is cloudy. After investigation, these mountains do not seem to be unusual, and are no different from other mountains, except that the tops of the mountains are relatively flat.
Every October, on the 100-kilometer-long Mekong River in Thailand, after night falls and before midnight, there will also be shiny balls of light. Every year there will be as many as 200-800 fireballs observed by people, especially the moon. The night of the circle is a time when fireballs are prone to appear. Local people say that it is the light emitted by poisonous snakes. The Ministry of Science and Technology of Thailand believes that these fireballs are spontaneous combustion of biogas emitted from the river, but experts believe that turbulent rivers will not ferment to produce biogas.
Earlier in the 19th century, ghost light appeared in Honet, a small town in Missouri, USA. Some of these light balls are like baseballs, some are like basketballs, and some are bigger, in various colors, and also change colors. From a distance, they look like lanterns or car headlights, but they behave very strangely and can pass through. The field rushes away or disappears suddenly, nearby residents often see them in the back garden, they sometimes hang high outside their bedrooms or move in their corridors. Many research teams have conducted studies on this phenomenon, but have not found the exact cause. In 2003, a professor at the University of Queensland conducted a study on this phenomenon, and believed that these unidentified lights were caused by air refraction due to the difference in air temperature, such as refracting car lights 300 kilometers away. The mirage is also the same explanation. This theory can indeed explain many strange luminous phenomena, but the strange light here began in the 19th century, when there were no cars.
Ball lightning? aurora? Earthquake light? still…
People naturally think of lightning. According to their shape, is it spherical lightning? Probably not. Spherical lightning generally appears before and after thunderstorms, while fireballs in Mesopotamia only appear on clear days. Fireballs on the Mekong River are more likely to appear on the night of the full moon. Moreover, the lifespan of spherical lightning is only ten seconds, but those light balls can exist for a long time. For example, Hesdalen’s weird light cluster can last for two hours steadily. Obviously, the spherical lightning theory does not make sense, so what are those light balls?
Are these strange lights just like the aurora, caused by changes in the earth’s magnetic field caused by solar activity? This is also unlikely, because the aurora is a large area of light that appears above the earth, and these strange lights are just light clusters that appear in a certain place.
Many researchers also believe that these light clusters are piezoelectric phenomena caused by the compression and movement of crustal rock formations during earthquakes. Generally, earthquakes are often accompanied by bright and colorful skylights. For example, during the Tangshan earthquake in 1976, colorful flashing lights appeared in the sky 200 kilometers away. The foreshock of the 1995 Kobe earthquake in Japan Later, it was accompanied by the appearance of flashes. However, using seismographs to measure these areas did not find the slightest seismic activity nearby.
Others pointed out that fluctuations in electron density in the ionosphere and atmosphere are also a cause of abnormal luminescence. For example, there are large-scale high-frequency radio transmitting bases all over the world, which can emit strong high-frequency electromagnetic waves to the ionosphere, which can change the charged state of the air and cause luminescence. The electron density of the ionosphere fluctuates due to some reasons, and it will also be transmitted to low altitude through some channels, causing luminescence. However, this situation generally does not lead to the appearance of spherical light clusters. This statement still cannot explain the Hesdalen phenomenon.
There are still a few researchers who believe that the magnetic monopole may be the cause of the disaster. According to scientists’ speculation, if the magnetic monopole exists, its mass will be astonishingly large, about 100 million billion times the mass of the proton. The gravitational field is extremely powerful. With such a strange particle, any possible miracle can be created.
A Preliminary Study of Hesdalen Phenomenon
What caused these weird light clusters? Scientists decided to conduct a serious investigation of the Hesdalen phenomenon. Light clusters in some places will disappear after a period of time, but the Hesdalen region of Norway has been troubled by these strange light phenomena, providing scientists with excellent research sites.
From January to February 1984, 40 people formed an expedition team to conduct a field trip to the Hesdalen area:
Walking in the Hesdalen area, some people will feel a wave of turbulence, as if sitting on a small boat floating on the sea. Those who can feel the bumps describe the direction of the bumps in the same way, but the frequency of bumps varies from person to person. Experience has proved that this happens if people walk in a strong electromagnetic field with a very low frequency.
So is there a strong electromagnetic field with very low frequency in the Hesdalen Valley? The expedition team used the magnetic field meter to detect that there really is a strong magnetic field, and when strange light appears, the magnetic field will fluctuate.
In addition, when the Hesdalen light phenomenon occurs, according to the instrument’s display, this strange light is not the light produced by the combustion of gas.
They also discovered a very strange phenomenon, that is, when these light phenomena appeared, the 600-meter-long power transmission line leading to the institute was inexplicably cut off on many occasions.
When the light phenomenon disappeared, the wire was restored. The power supply capability has been restored. This situation has occurred many times, but not every strange light will cause the circuit to be interrupted.
The strangest thing is that when the flash is irradiated with a laser, its flash frequency suddenly doubles. After the laser beam is evacuated, its flash frequency has returned to its original state. The investigators pointed the laser beam at it again, and its flicker accelerated again. After many experiments, its flash frequency will be doubled each time. The investigators looked at these phenomena in astonishment and were puzzled.
This investigation proved that the Hesdalen phenomenon does exist, and investigated the spectral distribution of the Hesdalen light phenomenon and the magnetic field changes when the Hesdalen phenomenon occurs. At the same time, we also found a phenomenon more bizarre than previous reports.
Strange light group is more mysterious than UFO
Afterwards, the scientists conducted several inspections and in August 1998, the Hesdalen automatic observatory was established. Equipped with cameras, wide-field zoom cameras, computers, etc. The camera takes a picture every 1 second, and the computer analyzes the pictures from the camera.
If there is strange light in the picture, the alarm system will alarm, and the camera will start recording at the same time, record the phenomenon that caused the alarm, and send it directly to the Internet Above, for experts to analyze.
A thorough spectral analysis of the Hesdalen phenomenon revealed that the spectrum of most (95%) light clusters has obvious plasmonic properties, and the surface temperature of these plasma light clusters has reached 6500K, which is higher than the surface temperature of the sun. Both are high. Only 5% of the light clusters can be seen as the light emitted by the object.
The brightness is generally as bright as a 100-watt bulb. These light clusters with lower brightness generally exhibit regular shapes, such as triangular light clusters and egg-shaped half. Transparent objects, flat ellipsoids, etc.
The results of this analysis can be said to deny that the Hesdalen phenomenon is a UFO phenomenon, because those plasma clusters with no fixed shape at a temperature of 6500K cannot be UFOs or alien probes, but the 5% of luminous objects are also Unlike UFOs or alien probes.
Although the root cause of the Hesdalen phenomenon has not been found, we do not need to consider the explanation of the alien visit, because even if the 5% of the luminous objects are determined to be related to the alien visit, there is still 95% of the light. The regiment could not explain. At present, the key point is to explain the origin of the 95% high-temperature plasma light cluster.
Obviously, these 95% high-temperature plasma clusters cannot be explained by auroral theory and electron density theory, because those mechanisms cannot cause plasma clusters with temperatures as high as 6000K to appear. And these plasma clusters have even more incomprehensible properties.
Miniature black holes glow?
These light clusters are not only high in temperature, but they also have some more peculiar characteristics: these light clusters can suddenly become larger and smaller, but its temperature can remain constant; it can change color in a short period of time, But its temperature remains the same; it can suddenly exhibit regular geometric shapes, such as suddenly becoming a rectangular shape, but it is just a group of electrons and ions. How can it exhibit regular geometric shapes?
The above situation is very incredible. If there is no source of energy provided inside the light cluster, the volume expansion of the light cluster must consume energy, and the temperature of the light cluster must be greatly reduced; the color of the light cluster also represents the temperature of the light cluster, such as firing If the orange-yellow iron block turns red and dark, its temperature must drop. However, the color of these light clusters is ever-changing, but the temperature of the light clusters does not change.
This only means that the temperature of the light group can be self-regulated. There must be channels for self-providing and absorbing energy inside the light group, which can heat or dissipate heat by itself, and can adjust the temperature of the light group to remain unchanged under any circumstances.
And there should be a force similar to gravitational force in the center of the light cluster, which can make the plasma cluster take on a certain shape.
Therefore, a more reasonable explanation is that these light clusters are not entirely plasma, but a shell of plasma, and there are mysterious objects that emit photons and other energies hidden inside. So who is the boss in the light group?
According to the view of astrophysics, its center is likely to be a miniature black hole. It is like a potential well. When gas falls into the well, it emits huge heat energy.
But black holes are ubiquitous in the universe. How did it come to the earth? Could it be formed on the earth?
The result of the scientists’ discussion: It may be a component of cosmic rays. As cosmic rays arrive on the earth, the miniature black hole itself carries a strong magnetic field, and its arrival will inevitably lead to changes in the magnetic field.
The changing magnetic field will generate an electric field, and the change of the electromagnetic field will affect the transmission lines that rely on the electric field to transmit electricity.
This can explain the reason for the power failure of the transmission line in the Hesdalen area. The laser’s exposure to it will aggravate the vibration of the tiny black hole, so it doubles the frequency of its flashes. This can also explain why the light group doubles its flicker when irradiated by the laser.
So, is the unidentified luminescence phenomenon all over the world also caused by this reason? Why are areas like Hesdalen more attractive to miniature black holes? The researcher obviously hasn’t made it clear yet.
Scientists are still enthusiastically discussing the nature of the Hesdalen phenomenon. I hope that in the near future, scientists can give us a clear answer.
